APWU Health Plan is seeking a Lead Program Benefit Consultant to join our Strategic Marketing and Communications Department. The priority of the Lead Program Benefit Consultant is to develop, implement, measure and optimize strategies that target postal and federal employee/retiree market segments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a field liaison to applicable external parties (postal and federal).
  • Building strong relationships with APWU and federal agencies.
  • Schedule Open Season and member education events and activities.
  • Plan and attend events for postal and federal markets.
  • Design and administer external training programs.
  • Coordinate support activities of online service vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration/Marketing or related field.
  • 8 plus years of experience in leadership, writing, marketing and educational materials; and, in marketing and/or sales.
  • Proven experience with surveying.
  • Proven experience with effective presentations.
  • Health insurance experience is a must.
  • FEHB and/or PSHB experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration/Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in presenting educational materials; and, in marketing and/or sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong public speaking abilities.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proven experience with presentations.
  • Flexibility to travel; primarily in the field (50% travel).
  • Health insurance experience preferred.
  • Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) and/or Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) experience preferred but not required.

  • Hang up immediately – If you receive an unexpected call and are unsure if it’s legitimate, do not engage. Hang up and contact CVS directly.

  • Never share personal information – Do not provide your prescription details, insurance information, Social Security number, or financial details to unknown callers.
  • Contact your prescription drug provider – If you are unsure about a call related to your medication, reach out to your prescription provider directly:

Common Scam Tactics

Scammers may ask questions such as:

  • Do you need any medication refills?
  • What prescriptions are you taking?
  • What is your driver’s license or Social Security number?
  • Can you confirm your insurance details?

Stay alert and protect your personal information. If you suspect a scam, report it to CVS or your prescription provider immediately.
